Our learners had the unique opportunity to visit the Parliament of Kenya, where they explored the Senate and National Assembly chambers during their educational trip. The excitement was evident from the moment they arrived, their faces lighting up at the grandeur of one of the country’s most important institutions.

Dressed in their neat school uniforms, the students walked in disciplined silence, as instructed, taking in the solemn atmosphere of the chambers where the nation’s laws are debated and passed. Their curiosity and enthusiasm were undeniable, as they observed firsthand how parliamentary proceedings take place.

Adding to the significance of their visit, Sirisia MP John Waluke took a moment to acknowledge their presence. The legislator warmly welcomed them and shared inspiring words of encouragement, urging the young learners to dream big, work hard, and aspire to be future leaders. With rapt attention, the students listened keenly, absorbing every word of wisdom imparted.

This experience was not just a school trip but a valuable lesson in civic education, leadership, and governance. By stepping into the very halls where Kenya’s laws are shaped, the learners gained a deeper appreciation for democracy and the role of public service in national development.

At Appleton School, we believe in hands-on learning experiences that go beyond textbooks, shaping well-rounded, informed, and inspired future citizens.
